Recycled Magazine Coaster

This Recycled Magazine Coaster is made out of magazine paper; very durable and recyclable and fun to make and will be a conversational piece at your next friend gathering. Or maybe As a Gift to a Earth friendly friend! All You  need A Pair of Hands  Scissors  A old Magazine to make the Recycled Magazine Coaster.

Is preferred  to use pages from old magazines because they are more durable than news paper print.

Strip the paper from the magazine and fold it in half, then... again fold it in half...and fold again. 

You will need six strips to make one Recycled Magazine Coaster.

Place one strip on top of the other then weave the strips together.

Following the pattern of One on top and one below .The result will be a cross of weaved paper.

Fold the ends and insert the papers in each section of the folded corners. 

Cut off the excess paper on the insides,making sure that it is not loose.

Keep folding and cutting excess paper off until you have a straight square.

Place your Recycled Magazine Coaster inside a book then put it on a flat surface with a heavy book on top overnight . 

This will flatten the magazine paper and make the paper strip look more uniform.

And your Recycled Magazine Coaster is ready to use.

Note: The Recycled Magazine Coaster will flatten more with each use.
